Scripture: Matthew 7:7–8 (Key: “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find…”)

A high school senior felt crushed by test anxiety. Writing simple morning prayers didn’t remove all their fears, but it anchored their heart. Over time, they sensed a steady presence beside them—a quiet teammate for the journey.

Prayer doesn’t promise the storm will disappear overnight. Instead, it steadies the ship. As we ask, seek, and knock, prayer shifts our focus from what we can’t control to the One who holds us steady.

When worry threatens to take over, prayer gives us a new posture: we lean on God, and in that leaning, we find strength.

Reflection Question: What worry could you anchor today by bringing it to God in prayer?

Action Step: Journal a two-line prayer about your biggest fear today. Read it aloud and release it to God.

Prayer: Holy One, calm my racing thoughts. Anchor me in Your steady love and help me trust Your timing. Amen.
