Enough Already — Wednesday, 04/29/2026

Scripture: Matthew 6:25–30

So much anxiety in our lives is rooted in one quiet but persistent fear: I am not enough. Not successful enough, not prepared enough, not secure enough. And so we spend energy trying to prove ourselves—to others, to ourselves, sometimes even to God.

Jesus gently challenges that mindset. He points to the ordinary beauty of creation—the birds, the flowers—and reminds us that they are cared for without striving to earn it. Their value is not based on performance. It is rooted in God’s care.

Then Jesus asks a simple but profound question: “Aren’t you worth much more?” That question is not meant to shame—it’s meant to reframe. You are not overlooked. You are not forgotten. You are not behind. You are already known and valued.

When we begin to believe that, something shifts. We stop striving to prove our worth and start living from it.

Reflection Question: Where are you trying to prove that you are enough?

Next Step: Take a break from comparison for 24 hours.

Prayer: Help me rest in your care. Amen.
