Following the Light in Ordinary Days
Scripture: John 8:12
Jesus calls himself the light—not just for special moments, but for everyday life. Light doesn’t remove darkness instantly; it shows the next step.
After Christmas, life feels ordinary again. That’s where faith often grows best—not in dramatic moments, but in steady trust.
Following the light means paying attention: to conscience, to compassion, to nudges toward love. God rarely overwhelms us with brightness. Instead, God offers enough light to keep moving.
Even small steps matter when they are taken toward the light.
Reflection Question:
What helps you notice God’s guidance in everyday life?
Action Step:
Pause before one decision today and ask: “Does this move me toward light or fear?”
Prayer:
Jesus, Light of the world, guide me through ordinary moments with Your presence. Amen.
