Scripture: Matthew 6:31–34
Fear often pulls us into the future. What if something goes wrong? What if things don’t work out? What if I’m not ready for what’s coming? We replay scenarios that haven’t happened yet and exhaust ourselves trying to prepare for every possibility.
Jesus brings us back to the present. “Don’t worry about tomorrow.” Not because tomorrow doesn’t matter—but because today is where God meets us. Most of what we worry about never actually happens , yet the energy we spend worrying is real and draining.
Faith is not ignoring the future—it’s trusting God enough to live fully in today. This moment, right now, is where you are invited to be present, attentive, and open to God’s work.
Reflection Question: What “what if” is pulling you away from today?
Next Step: Pause and breathe: “God is with me now.”
Prayer: Help me live this day fully. Amen.
