Wednesday, January 7 — “Love You Can See”

Scripture: 1 John 3:16–18; 4:11–12

In 1 John, love is never abstract. Love is visible, practical, and costly. It shows up in how we treat people, especially when it’s inconvenient.

The letter is blunt: if love remains only in words or feelings, it hasn’t reached the center yet. When God’s love truly shapes a life, it becomes visible in everyday actions—patience, generosity, forgiveness, presence.

Putting first things first means allowing love to move from belief to behavior. It means noticing where love is being withheld and choosing to show up differently.

Even small acts of love can signal a reordered life.

Reflection Question:
Who might need a tangible expression of love from you today?

Concrete Practice:
Choose one intentional act of kindness today—something specific and visible.

Prayer:
God, help your love move from my heart into my hands. Amen.
