PEACE THAT DOESN’T DEPEND ON CIRCUMSTANCES
Scripture: John 14:25–27
Jesus assures His disciples that the peace He gives is unlike anything the world can offer. This promise matters because the world His followers lived in was full of uncertainty—political tension, persecution, and fear about the future.
It is easy to assume peace will come when our circumstances become easier. But Jesus reminds us that His peace isn’t tied to perfection or predictability. It is anchored in His presence. Even when life is stressful, His peace remains available because He remains with us.
As we enter this week of Advent, we remember that the first Christmas happened in the midst of upheaval. Yet Jesus brought peace not by removing hard circumstances, but by stepping into them. The same is true for us.
Reflection Question:
Where do you most need Christ’s peace to steady you today?
Action Step:
When stress rises today, pause and pray: “Jesus, You are my peace.”
Prayer:
Prince of Peace, quiet my heart, and remind me that You are near. Amen.
