Scripture:

Ecclesiastes 11:1-2: “Cast your bread upon the waters, for you will find it after many days. Give portions to seven, yes to eight, for you do not know what disaster may come upon the land.”

1 Corinthians 3:6-7:  “I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow.”

Life often feels uncertain. We can’t guarantee how our efforts will turn out—whether in our work, our families, or our faith. Ecclesiastes and Paul remind us that our responsibility is to plant generously, even when the outcome is unclear. God is the One who gives growth. This perspective frees us from needing to control everything and invites us to act in trust.

Reflection Question: Where are you hesitating to act because you can’t see the outcome?

Action Step: Choose one small act of generosity today—time, encouragement, prayer, or resources—and do it without worrying about the result.

Prayer: Holy One, help me to sow generously and trust You with the harvest. Free me from fear of the unknown and give me courage to act in faith. Amen.
