Scripture: Matthew 6:9–13
Jesus teaches prayer in everyday language. The Lord’s Prayer isn’t long or complicated—it’s relational and practical. It covers trust, daily needs, forgiveness, and guidance. Jesus assumes prayer will be part of ordinary life.
Many people avoid prayer because they think it needs to sound impressive. Jesus shows us the opposite. Simple words prayed regularly shape a deeper connection with God over time.
Prayer doesn’t have to be perfect to be powerful.
Reflection Question:
What simple prayer could you repeat today when words feel hard?
Practice:
Pray one line of the Lord’s Prayer slowly.
Prayer:
God, thank you that simple prayers are enough. Help me trust that you hear me. Amen.
