The Word Became Flesh-Thursday, 12/25/2025

Scripture: John 1:1–14

John tells the Christmas story without shepherds or angels. Instead, he speaks of light, life, and the Word becoming flesh. God does not stay distant or abstract. God takes on skin and bone and breath.

“The Word became flesh and lived among us.” God chooses closeness. God chooses humanity. God chooses to dwell where life is real and fragile.

Christmas Day invites us to marvel at this truth: the Creator enters creation, not to dominate it, but to love it from the inside.

This is not a God far away. This is a God who moves into the neighborhood.

Reflection Question: How does knowing God chose closeness shape how you see your own life?

Action Step: Spend time today fully present with someone you love—no phone, no rushing.

Prayer: Living Word, thank You for choosing to dwell among us. Help me welcome Your presence today. Amen.
