Wednesday, January 28 — When Prayer Is Answered Through People

Scripture: Matthew 7:7–11

Jesus compares prayer to asking a loving parent for help. God gives good gifts—but not always in the ways we expect. Often, prayer is answered through people: someone showing up, offering help, or listening.

When we pray, we open ourselves to notice how God is already at work around us. Sometimes the answer looks like a conversation, a community, or unexpected care.

Prayer connects us—not just to God, but to one another.

Reflection Question:
Who has been an answer to prayer in your life?

Practice:
Thank God today for a person who has supported you.

Prayer:
God, help me see how you work through people. Thank you for not leaving me alone. Amen
