Galatians 6:9–10: “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.”
Hebrews 12:1–2: “Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.”
Doing good can feel exhausting—especially when results seem slow. Paul encourages us not to give up. Perseverance is an act of faith. Like runners keeping their eyes fixed ahead, we endure by looking to Jesus. God promises the harvest will come in time.
Reflection Question: Where do you feel weary in your efforts to do good?
Action Step: Reach out to someone who faithfully serves others (a teacher, caregiver, volunteer) and encourage them with gratitude for their perseverance.
Prayer: Faithful God, strengthen me when I grow weary. Fix my eyes on Jesus and renew my hope that You are at work in every act of goodness. Amen.
