Wednesday, February 4 — Doing One Small Good

Scripture: Romans 12:17–21; Proverbs 20:22

Love becomes real when it becomes specific. Paul doesn’t talk about abstract kindness—he talks about real actions: blessing, hospitality, restraint, generosity. Love shows up in what we choose to do next.

You don’t need to change someone’s mind to treat them with dignity. A fair word, a calm response, or a refusal to escalate can quietly disrupt cycles of conflict.

Small acts matter because they reflect God’s character. God consistently chooses good even when people respond poorly. When we do the same, we mirror that grace.

Loving someone you disagree with often begins with doing one small good—not to prove a point, but to practice faithfulness.

Reflection Question:
What small action could reflect love without compromising your integrity?

One Practice for Today:
Choose one concrete good—an encouraging word, respectful silence, or quiet generosity.

Prayer:
God, show me one small way to do good today. Give me courage to act with love. Amen.
