Scripture: 1 Timothy 6:17–19; Acts 20:35
“As for those who in the present age are rich, command them not to be haughty, or to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but rather on God who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. They are to do good, to be rich in good works, generous, and ready to share, thus storing up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of the life that really is life.” (1 Timothy 6:17–19)
“In all this I have given you an example that by such work we must support the weak, remembering the words of the Lord Jesus, for he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” (Acts 20:35)
Paul urged Timothy to remind the wealthy not to put their hope in riches, but to be “rich in good deeds, generous, and willing to share.” Joy doesn’t come from hoarding, but from giving. As Jesus said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
Generosity is not limited to money. We can give time, attention, kindness, or presence. Chuck Feeney gave away billions during his lifetime, but even the smallest act of generosity can multiply joy—both for the giver and the receiver.

Lord, remind me that everything I have is Yours. Make me generous with my words, my time, and my resources. Amen.
