Monday, Oct 20 – Your Story Matters
Scripture: Psalm 107:1–2
Key Verse: “Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story—those He redeemed from trouble.”
Every follower of Jesus has a story worth telling. Psalm 107 invites us not just to remember God’s deliverance but to declare it. The Hebrew word translated “tell” can also mean “to recount” or “to testify”—a deliberate act of remembering out loud. When we share our stories of God’s faithfulness, we aren’t bragging about ourselves; we’re bearing witness to grace.
You might think your story is too ordinary to matter. But God often works through quiet moments of transformation—where despair turns to hope, where fear gives way to peace, where small prayers lead to surprising answers. Every story of God’s presence, no matter how simple, carries the power to inspire and comfort someone else.
When you tell your story, you help someone else recognize that God is still at work in the real world—in Monroe, in your neighborhood, in your own kitchen and workplace. You remind them that God’s grace is not just ancient history—it’s alive and personal today.
Reflection Question: What experience in your life best shows how God’s grace became real to you?
Action Step: Write down one paragraph that begins, “I once ___, but now ___.” Ask God to show you one person who needs to hear that story this week.
Prayer: Loving God, thank You for redeeming my life and giving me a story worth sharing. Give me courage and joy as I tell of Your goodness. Amen.
