Sunday, Nov. 23 — “Turning Back”

Scripture: Luke 17:15–16

One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice.

The Samaritan leper’s return to Jesus is one of the most beautiful moments in the Gospels. Ten men received healing, but only one felt compelled to turn around. His gratitude was not just an emotion—it became movement and worship. Gratitude isn’t simply felt; it is expressed.

The Samaritan shows us that thankfulness grows most powerfully at the margins—among the hurting, the overlooked, the outsider.

Reflection: Where have you experienced God’s mercy, and how can you “turn back” toward God today?

Action Step: Tell someone (or God) “thank You” today for one specific act of grace.

Prayer: Lord, like the Samaritan, help me turn back to You with a grateful heart. Amen.
