Scripture: Philippians 2:3–4 (Key verse: v.4 – “Look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.”)

Listening is more than hearing words—it’s noticing people. Jesus didn’t overlook the blind man on the roadside, the woman at the well, or the children others pushed away. He stopped, looked, and listened. His attention said, “You matter.”

When we pay attention to others, we mirror the compassion of Christ. In a culture of distraction, intentional presence is revolutionary. A conversation at the kitchen table, a phone call to check in, or simply looking someone in the eye can communicate God’s love.

Listening is a ministry anyone can practice. No special training—just willingness to care.

Reflection Question: Who needs your full attention today?

Action Step: Give someone your undivided attention—a family member, friend, coworker, or stranger. Listen with love.

Prayer: Attentive God, thank You for noticing me. Help me see and hear others as You do—with compassion and grace. Amen.
