What If I Become a Burden to Others? - Friday, 05/08/2026

Scripture: Galatians 6:2–5

One of the hardest fears to admit is the fear of becoming a burden. Many people quietly worry: what if I need more help than I can give? What if I slow others down?

This passage invites us into a different way of seeing. “Carry each other’s burdens,” it says. Not as an obligation, but as a way of living in community.

That means needing help is not a failure—it is part of being human. We are meant to support each other, not carry everything alone.

In everyday life, that might look like accepting help with a meal, asking for a ride, or simply letting someone sit with you. These moments of connection are not signs of weakness—they are signs of shared strength.

When we allow others to help us, we also give them the opportunity to live out compassion. And that creates a kind of community where no one is left alone.

Reflection Question: Where is it hardest for you to accept help?

Action Step: Ask for help with one small thing today.

Prayer: God, give me the humility to receive help and the courage to offer it. Amen.
