Shining the light on the hill by connecting with Jesus Christ, connecting with each other, and connecting with the world.

Ministry of Outreach and Community

Election Day Luncheon

Come and join us for this annual tradition in Monroe. These luncheons take place on election-day in November. Entrees, deserts, and beverages are served in Atchley Hall from noon to late evening. After you have done your citizenship duty come share a delicious meal and spend some time in fellowship with your neighbors.   A small cost is involved.

Emmaus and Chrysalis Community

We encourage our adults and youth to continue growing in faith and knowledge of the Lord. Regular Meetings of these two vital teams come together at Monroe UMC to plan, pray, and work for the next flight or walk. For more information check out our local Emmaus chapter at http://northernlightsemmaus.org

Grief Recovery

A grief recovery program is offered at the church periodically. Trained leaders help folks on the journey of grief. For more information contact our church office plus, check out the services of hospice locally at http://hospicecareofmiddletown.com/

Line Dancing

Line Dancing meets weekly through the year to learn simple dancing steps and to have some fun and fellowship. Meetings currently take place on Tuesday evenings.

S.A.I.L. Ministry (serve another in love)

We find creative ways to reach out to our community with love, inviting them into fellowship with us.

Teacher Appreciation Day & Sunday

We appreciate our schools and support our teachers. This annual event blesses educators who are preparing to return from a summer vacation for another calendar year of classroom learning. Prayer, food, fellowship, and encouragement are provided.
