Shining the light on the hill by connecting with Jesus Christ, connecting with each other, and connecting with the world.

Join us for our series preparing us for Christmas!

We always want to have a great Christmas, but sometimes we let something steal our joy - maybe it's us. The holidays have a great way of underscoring grief, multiplying conflicts, and creating chaos and stress. What can we do to make Christmas all we wish it could be? How can we get all we want for Christmas?

Sunday, Dec. 3 through Sunday, Dec. 31, join us for a new series leading up to Christmas that will give practical tips on how to experience hope, peace, joy, love, and wonder this Christmas season.

Monroe UMC, 206 East Avenue, Monroe, Ohio
Contemporary Worship Sundays at 9:30 am in our gym
Traditional Worship Sundays at 11:00 am in our Sanctuary

(Note: Children's Christmas program is set for Dec. 17 at 9:30 am. Series theme will be followed in 11:00 am.)

Hope - 12/3: Don't miss out on the hope of "God with us" by worrying about the forest of Christmas trees.
Peace - 12/10: Opportunities for conflict are everywhere during the stress of the season. Learn more about mercy and grace and you'll find peace.
Joy - 12/17: Brokenness and misery seem to permeate our world. Remember, the light shines in the darkness, and that gives us joy.
Love - 12/24 AM: Love requires humility which means thinking of yourself less. Focus on others and experience God's love.
Wonder - 12/24 PM: Don't let the shiny and new things distract you; instead, focus on the gift of Jesus this Christmas. (4:30 pm Family service; 7:00 pm Traditional; 11:00 pm Candlelight & Communion)
Time - 12/31: Wait for it ... God comes to us at just the right time.

Everyone is welcome, regardless of your past church experience. Find a church family that will embrace you this Christmas season.
